Hi, Its the mad season. Everybody rushing around doing their last minute shopping. It is very noticable, that there seems to be fewer holidaymakers in the False Bay. It is reported that the West Coast and the Garden Route is packed to capacity. I spoke to the owner of our local SPAR, who tells me that turnover is down big time, however, the sales of liquor at the TOPS is unbelievable. So much, for all the dont drink and drive, and liquor kills, campaigns. Drunkeness is rife and sirens are howling.
Last Sunday, we met Morris and Maria at Canal Walk, so that the girls could do their shopping. The centre was like any other Sunday. We spent a lovely Sunday together and rounded it off with a great seafood ,late , lunch at C>T>F>M>.
I got a call, yesterday, from my friend, Walter Vroegop., in Holland. He tells me it is below zero there and he wishes he could be in SA over christmas. His dreams of a White Christmas looks a reality. I dont think the likelyhood of that happening here is possible.
Maths and Bianca, Marc and Bianca B are all still very much in love as is Matan and Liske judging by all the Hearts flying around on Facebook. Sometimes I think they are all playing cards, plenty of cards with Hearts being the main hand.
We are going to visit Valerie later, at the home for the AGED. We will be spending Christmas with Tommy and
Anita and the boys. PP1 is still in SOUTH Korea and will be returning on the 1st February, which means, mwah will be making the salads. New Year, will be spent with Morris and Maria and we will celebrate New Year at a restaurant called ONS NESSIE in Melkbos. The Boys and there girlfriends and SPOUSE will be visiting the Big UBs on Sunday afternoon. I am looking forward to spending time with all the family except PP1
over the next two weeks.
My cat, LASKALA, brought home her first little bird yesterday. When I say little I mean TINY. The little dead bird must have fallen out of a nest. Oh, she was so very proud of this prey.
Well, till next time toodledoo and BOYS , DONT DRINK AND DRIVE. SEE YA.
Just letting you know whats-up, and giving my opinions on certain topics on current affairs

12/12/2011 What a weekend
Hit there, We had one great weekend. Thursday evening, Morris and Maria arrived for the weekend. They hadnt been for some time, so for us this was special. After catching up with all the skinder and family talk, we only got to bed at midnight. Friday, we decided to take a drive and ended up in Kleinmond, wher the girls decided to do some window shopping. We ended up having coffee with a beautiful view of the sea. We had a very good seafood lunch at a place on the front called Sushi Bar. We then took a slow drive home with a panaromic view of the False Bay all the way. Saturday morning, we went for brunch to Prima Piati at the golfing range in Somerset West. We spent quite a while there just admiring the view and watching the future of golf practicing there shots. Thank goodness Matans Honda Accord was not in the vacinity, as these golfers had a long way to go before actually challanging Tiger Woods. Sunday, we just lounged around ,relaxing and discussing all the rubbish in the weekend press. I prepared , what I thought , was a great lunch, prepared on my Nu- Wave machine. My effort was enjoyed by all. We got a great surprise, when Matan and Liske, eventually arrived. More banter and skinder and COFFEE. Isnt it great when you have loved ones around you all weekend. Just by the way, a little brag. They all said my salad was the best they had ever eaten, but of coarse, this I know. Please dont ask what the ingredients are, as I cant remember. I mean it.
I am also so happy, as I heard that Jean-Marie accepted the post and will be returning to SA. shortly. Otherwise, everything is great , here in Gordons Bay eccept for the GAUTS and their Golden Lions shirts.
Should they eventually have them washed, I am sure Liske, with her brand new washing machine, will accommodate them. Till next time, see ya.

December 6/12/11 Whats Up
Hi, Its December 6, and already the Bay is overpopulated by GAUTS. This year they seem to wear the same uniforms. All have Golden Lion shirts. In a way , this is a good thing because at last their Springbok world cup jerseys can be washed.
We went to the Waterfront in Cape Town on Sunday as Tilly had some Christmas Shopping to do. I managed to get seats for Phantom of the Opera. We attended the 14h00 show. WOW, this is a must see. It is surely a five star production as the press confirmed. The PROPS were magnificent and the actors superb. Liske, I think this would be a great xmas gift from Matan.
Yesterday , I went to my homeopath in Paarl, He told me that I had a frozen shoulder, which Morris told me the day before. He gave me medication which I hope thaws this very sore shoulder soon. He also gave me tablets for my back, which he says is basically calcification of the lower vertabrae in my spine. Otherwise he says there is an improvement in all the other matters he is attending to.
Otherwise I think matters are going as planned in the country. SELEBE is finally in a single cell, the BABADOEKE are again telling us how well they will play this weekend, enemy and gangster number one, AGLIOTTI is still walking the streets after corruption, murder and other charges get dropped against him because he turns state witness. He certainly qualifies to become a member of parliament. MALEMA has still not heard the verdict of his appeal and, thank goodness, we still have the press. We should be going into a good holiday period except all the guys using DIESEL. Well, thats about it for now. SEE YA soon.

30/11/11 November gone
Hi, I havent blogged for a few days as lots of things are happening or have happened.
Bianca and Maths have just celebrated their 6 months of going out together and are still very much in love. Cheers to you for the future, Bottoms up. A golball has left a dent on the side of Matans car. The golf club, after being a bit cheecky, have decided to accept liability. Now the dent can be removed. I know, it is horrible driving a Honda Accord Executive, with a dent on the side. Michael celebrated his birthday last sunday and seems to have received many wishes on Facebook. I do ,however notice, a lot of greetings come from older ladies. They must love him because he is such a gentleman.
This passed weekend, Tommy and Anita visited us. We had a great time and caught up with all the family news and photos. Francois looked so good on his matric dance photos. The little lady that accomponied him, is really beautiful. They suit each other.
To-day we received the news that Jean-Marie got the job with the Liquor Board. What a Great chance and job this is to get, as we have this absolute liquor problem in our country and somebody ( Princess Pebbles) has the chance to do something about it. Go for it Jean and get your professional life on a roll. Make a name for yourself. I hope she takes the job and comes home and makes salad for me this Chrismas,
Thats about it for now. So until next time, take care and dont drink and drive. Liquor KILLS.

22/11/11 BLACK TUESDAY
To-day is known as Black Tuesday in South Africa. Thank Goodness this name was not given by one or other White South African person. I see the word RACIST appearing all over the place again. As I can gather this is the date that the apartheid laws were passed in the previous regime and more importantly will go down in history as the day South Africa becomes a semi democracy, as I have just established our band of thieves have just voted the new secrecy act into being. This by a huge majority. This means that in future we will not know about our corrupt leaders as it will be kept top secret. Anyway, let the ANC carry on messing up everything , as they are obviously doing. We cannot even say wait until the next election, because the majority of their votes come from prisoners, illiterate persons and murderers. Poor Madiba, I wonder what he thinks about what has happened to this beautiful country in the passed three years. This is certainly not what he envisaged.
We saw the movie Tower Heist, over the weekend and boy this is a must see, What a relaxing and funny movie this is . We had a good laugh.
Michael, my nephew celebrated his 27th birthday on Sunday and Francois , my other nephew , finished his final school exams on Friday. He says Free at Last. He says the exams were easy. Well lets see when the results come out. Well thats about it for now, I am going to watch the Godfather Part Two tonight. See Ye.

18/11/11 The Week That Was
Here in Gordons Bay it is one of those lazy Friday afternoons, but, whats different,is that the heat and the wind has arrived. The temperature here is 30 degrees and the south-easter is blowing at 40k.p.h. Strange .when its cold we yearn for the heat but when it arrives we moan about it. Only natural, I suppose.
I watched two classics on Universal Channel this week. Firstly, one of my favourites , The Godfather. What a brilliant movie and one that will never age. This was my third time. I see next week the second one of the trilogy will be shown. Secondly, my first time, The Gangs of America. I tell you, five stars and what an epic. De Caprio, is magnificant in the movie. I love this channel as more often than not , the movies are good.
One can surely see that Christmas is nearing by the decor in all the shop and malls. However, the people still all look very depressed, but , I think that is the new universal look. The excuse surely is MONEY.
I am so happy to see , that some persons are reading my posts, but I have only had 3 comments. Is this normal ?. Please tell me.
Liske commented that two scoops of ice=cream is not a double helping. I would beg to differ, if it is taken twice, it will be a double helping, but I am thrilled about it because you dont normally see more than half a scoop.
We skyped Princess Pebbles in Korea and saw her living quarters there. I was surprised as I thought it would resemble a prison cell, but it is nice and spacey and has all the amenities required. I had nearly no say as she and Tilly jabbered on for about half an hour. She tells us that since she has been there . she has had three interview requests from South Africa. It looks as if they find out that someone with degrees are oversees , they dont want to lose them. Anyway I am sure she will arrange something via skype. I still hope she gets a positive reply from the Liquor Board.
My, the wind is so loud, I can hardly hear what I am writing. Otherwise, the situation, politically, is still same old, same old bullshit every-day. NO JOBS, NO CASH and NO HOPE. Have an awesome weekend and talk to you soon.

Monday 14/11/11
Hi, We had a most wonderful weekend. On Saturday morning we had a long skype chat with Jeane-Maree in Korea. I am pleased to have seen that she looks quite happy and is jabbering about a lot of things as usual. She has become a real school teacher and loves the little ones she is teaching. I should think that she is enjoying this as she is a real control freak. I must say, she is adapting to things in Korea, which must be quite difficult as it is a total different world to the WEST. She has also made friends with quite a few people, which tells me she is not lonely.
Saturday afternoon, Matan and Liske visited and stayed for supper. We had a great time chatting and watching the wedding photos and the Scottish honeymoon pics. This was weird, as all the photos taken in Scotland ,had no people and lots of steps. Matan only realised the lack of people on his pics once I mentioned it to him. Even the restaurants they ate in had no other people in them. I must say the beauty of Scotland is unbelievable. What a choice of honeymoon venue Scotland proved to be. They left at about 23h00, and the day passed so very quickly. By the way, Liske ate all her food and had a double helping of dessert. I was most surprised.
Sunday, Tilly and myself went to Canal Walk. She did some shopping and I just wondered around watching all the people of which quite a percentage were Chinese. We are slowly being taken over by them and I see, very shortly, we will be having a twelfth official language. The afternoon, we went to the movies to see CONTAGION, which I thought was a load of rubbish. We ended our day witha very late lunch at C.T.F.M.
I had a great piece of fresh, grilled Kabeljou and Salad and Tilly had a piece of medium to rare Sirloin steak.which she said was delicious,
It is good to see that Table Mountain, is now one of the seven natural wonders of the world. I dont know what this can do for Cape Town until the crime and violence is defeated in the mother city. I pray soon.
An ex Springbok rugby player was shot dead at a tavern in Nyanga. See what I mean when I talk about cfrime and violence.
Coming back from the local SPAR, this morning, a lady, driving a Four by Four, nearly crashed into my car, turning into the parking area of the centre, with ciggie hanging out of her mouth and a cellphone in the hand, chatting to somebody, whilst turning into the parking lot. This just proves my theory that you cannot drive while using your cellphone.
Yesterday, in NOVEMBER, we had snow on the Helderberg. What is going on???????
To-day, Gordons Bay is a paradise. Have a lovely day. Till next time, see ye.

Friday 11/11/11
Wow to think there will never be an 11/11/11 again in any of our lifetimes. Is that not odd?
Well , great news yesterday with MALEMA being suspended for five years. I was uber excited because I thought he was being suspended by his neck. I wonder what the sod will do for the next five years. He certainly will not be able to steal and pilfer any more of our money. The only place he could still swing his sceptre is in LIMPOPO, but who cares about limpopo in any event. To think that we were threatened for so long by this insecure, dictatorial, war mongering, little gangster. I hope his gang of thieves will now dissappear from the face of the earth. Enough, I am getting carried away.
Back to 11/11/11, I hope every body will do something today so that they may remember this unique date for the rest of their days.
Isnt it strange how, when you get older, you long for your family to be near you. It certainly is happening to me. For some reason, I would like to see some part of my family on a weekly basis and that makes me very happy when it happens.
I am also yearning to get down to the beach. but it seems as if the weather in the Western Cape has changed totally. Whilst the north are enduring temperatures of up to 37 degrees, we in the Cape are still, in November, having temperatures of under 20degrees. This is ODD dont you think?
Have a great 11/11/11. Till next time, take care.

wednesday 9/11/11
I was very stressed this morning, when I received the news that Check-Inn in Riebeek West have opened a wine section in their shop. How they obtained the licence is a riddle to me. They are accross the way from a church, they are selling only 5litre and 2litre boxed cheap wine, they did not advertise the application properly, no information of intent was given to the citizens in the near vacinity and I can go on, but I dont want to get more annoyed. What are our liquor board doing ? They are obviously not doing the proper inspections. In this time where people are asking for us to lessen crime and to upgrade and update our liquor act because of all the problems with alcohol abuse with relation to crime, our liquor board decides to make cheap liquor more available by issuing licences to applicants by not doing their homework properly.
On a better note I see MArc, my nephew and his girlfriend are back together. Bianca and Marc just dont seem to be able to make up their minds because this breakup only lasted 2 days. Is this not sweet?
Tilly and I are stuck indoors today because it is raining and cold here in the BAY. By the way I was very thrilled to here from Con and Issabelle last night. She is still chatting for hours and he is still working his butt off and that witha sore ankle.

tuesday 8/11/11
so far just good news to-day. Congrats to Matan and Liske on being married for six months and still very much in love. Jean-Marie sent me an email telling me she went shopping mad after receiving her first salary in Korea. She says she bought goods to prepare for a cold winter and is saving to buy a laptop. On her blog (almalpoepskelm), she writes the words of Die Stem, which tells me she is missing home.
Thank Goodness the Michael Jackson saga has come to an end. What a spectacle and mini series this was. The actor of the show certainly was the judge. He could find himself being nomonated for an oscar.
Now we must just wait for the news of the clown of south africa, MALEMA. I hope they zip his thick lip for good.
Here in Gordons Bay, it is overcast and cold. The summer just doesnt want to settle in.
I am so excited as I have just noticed that my first member has joined my blog. Thanks Marc.
My verry pretty cat La-Scala was very naughty during the night and this morning has the WHO ME look on her face. The cat has now taken over the household and is in full control of us all. What a control freak she is.

Financial News
Years ago America had Steven Jobs, Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now they are left with no jobs, no hope and no cash. SAD isnt it ?
Monday 7/11/11
The weekend has gone and here we are on monday thinking back on yesterday at the Waterfront in Cape Town. We had a wonderful day and ended it with a great meal at Willoubys. I enjoyed what must rank one fo the best Sushi meals I have eaten.
To-day I received an EMAIL telling me that my gripes about the pubs and eating houses selling liquor before ten in the morning ,is being attended to by an advocate. I am very satisfied as I feel we must protect our people on the roads as well as domestic problems, which I feel, most are being caused by alcohol abuse.
