21/12/2011 Mad Season is here

Hi, Its the mad season. Everybody rushing around doing their last minute shopping. It is very noticable, that there seems to be fewer holidaymakers in the False Bay. It is reported that the West Coast and the Garden Route is packed to capacity. I spoke to the owner of our local SPAR, who tells me that turnover is down big time, however, the sales of liquor at the TOPS is unbelievable. So much, for all the dont drink and drive, and liquor kills, campaigns. Drunkeness is rife and sirens are howling.
Last Sunday, we met Morris and Maria at Canal Walk, so that the girls could do their shopping. The centre was like any other Sunday. We spent a lovely Sunday together and rounded it off with a great seafood ,late , lunch at C>T>F>M>.
I got a call, yesterday, from my friend, Walter Vroegop., in Holland. He tells me it is below zero there and he wishes he could be in SA over christmas. His dreams of a White Christmas looks a reality. I dont think the likelyhood of that happening here is possible.
Maths and Bianca, Marc and Bianca B are all still very much in love as is Matan and Liske judging by all the Hearts flying around on Facebook. Sometimes I think they are all playing cards, plenty of cards with Hearts being the main hand.
We are going to visit Valerie later, at the home for the AGED. We will be spending Christmas with Tommy and
Anita and the boys. PP1 is still in SOUTH  Korea and will be returning on the 1st February, which means, mwah will be making the salads. New Year, will be spent with Morris and Maria and we will celebrate New Year at a restaurant called ONS NESSIE in Melkbos. The Boys and there girlfriends and SPOUSE will be visiting the Big UBs on Sunday afternoon. I am looking forward to spending time with all the family except PP1
over the next two weeks.
My cat, LASKALA, brought home her first little bird yesterday. When I say little I mean TINY. The little dead bird must have fallen out of a nest. Oh, she was so very proud of this prey.
Well, till next time toodledoo and BOYS , DONT DRINK AND DRIVE.  SEE YA.

12/12/2011 What a weekend

Hit there,   We had one great weekend. Thursday evening, Morris and Maria arrived for the weekend. They hadnt been for some time, so for us this was special. After catching up with all the skinder and family talk, we only got to bed at midnight. Friday, we decided to take a drive and ended up in Kleinmond, wher the girls decided to do some window shopping. We ended up having coffee with a beautiful view of the sea. We had a very good seafood lunch at a place on the front called Sushi Bar. We then took a slow drive home with a panaromic view of the False Bay all the way. Saturday morning, we went for brunch to Prima Piati at the golfing range in Somerset West. We spent quite a while there just admiring the view and watching the future of golf practicing there shots. Thank goodness Matans Honda Accord was not in the vacinity, as these golfers had a long way to go before actually challanging Tiger Woods. Sunday, we just lounged around ,relaxing and discussing all the rubbish in the weekend press. I prepared , what I thought , was a great lunch, prepared on my  Nu- Wave machine. My effort was enjoyed by all. We got a great surprise, when Matan and Liske, eventually arrived. More banter and skinder and COFFEE. Isnt it great when you have loved ones around you all weekend. Just by the way, a little brag. They all said my salad was the best they had ever eaten, but of coarse, this I know. Please dont ask what the ingredients are, as I cant remember. I mean it.
I am also so happy, as I heard that Jean-Marie accepted the post and will be returning to SA. shortly. Otherwise, everything is great , here in Gordons Bay eccept for the GAUTS and their Golden Lions shirts.
Should they eventually have them washed, I am sure Liske, with her brand new washing machine, will accommodate them. Till next time, see ya.

December 6/12/11 Whats Up

Hi, Its December 6, and already the Bay is overpopulated by GAUTS. This year they seem to wear the same uniforms. All have Golden Lion shirts. In a way , this is a good thing because at last their Springbok world cup jerseys can be washed.
We went to the Waterfront in Cape Town on Sunday as Tilly had some Christmas Shopping to do. I managed to get seats for Phantom of the Opera. We attended the 14h00 show. WOW, this is a must see. It is surely a five star production as the press confirmed. The PROPS were magnificent and the actors superb. Liske, I think this would be a great xmas gift from Matan.
Yesterday , I went to my homeopath in Paarl, He told me that I had a frozen shoulder, which Morris told me the day before. He gave me medication which I hope thaws this very sore shoulder soon. He also gave me tablets for my back, which he says is basically calcification of the lower vertabrae in my spine. Otherwise he says there is an improvement in all the other matters he is attending to.
Otherwise I think matters are going as planned in the country. SELEBE is finally in a single cell, the BABADOEKE are again telling us how well they will play this weekend, enemy and gangster number one, AGLIOTTI is still walking the streets after corruption, murder and other charges get dropped against him because he turns state witness. He certainly qualifies to become a member of parliament. MALEMA has still not heard the verdict of his appeal and, thank goodness, we still have the press. We should be going into a good holiday period except all the guys using DIESEL.   Well, thats about it for now. SEE YA soon.
