Hi, We had a most wonderful weekend. On Saturday morning we had a long skype chat with Jeane-Maree in Korea. I am pleased to have seen that she looks quite happy and is jabbering about a lot of things as usual. She has become a real school teacher and loves the little ones she is teaching. I should think that she is enjoying this as she is a real control freak. I must say, she is adapting to things in Korea, which must be quite difficult as it is a total different world to the WEST. She has also made friends with quite a few people, which tells me she is not lonely.
Saturday afternoon, Matan and Liske visited and stayed for supper. We had a great time chatting and watching the wedding photos and the Scottish honeymoon pics. This was weird, as all the photos taken in Scotland ,had no people and lots of steps. Matan only realised the lack of people on his pics once I mentioned it to him. Even the restaurants they ate in had no other people in them. I must say the beauty of Scotland is unbelievable. What a choice of honeymoon venue Scotland proved to be. They left at about 23h00, and the day passed so very quickly. By the way, Liske ate all her food and had a double helping of dessert. I was most surprised.
Sunday, Tilly and myself went to Canal Walk. She did some shopping and I just wondered around watching all the people of which quite a percentage were Chinese. We are slowly being taken over by them and I see, very shortly, we will be having a twelfth official language. The afternoon, we went to the movies to see CONTAGION, which I thought was a load of rubbish. We ended our day witha very late lunch at C.T.F.M.
I had a great piece of fresh, grilled Kabeljou and Salad and Tilly had a piece of medium to rare Sirloin steak.which she said was delicious,
It is good to see that Table Mountain, is now one of the seven natural wonders of the world. I dont know what this can do for Cape Town until the crime and violence is defeated in the mother city. I pray soon.
An ex Springbok rugby player was shot dead at a tavern in Nyanga. See what I mean when I talk about cfrime and violence.
Coming back from the local SPAR, this morning, a lady, driving a Four by Four, nearly crashed into my car, turning into the parking area of the centre, with ciggie hanging out of her mouth and a cellphone in the hand, chatting to somebody, whilst turning into the parking lot. This just proves my theory that you cannot drive while using your cellphone.
Yesterday, in NOVEMBER, we had snow on the Helderberg. What is going on???????
To-day, Gordons Bay is a paradise. Have a lovely day. Till next time, see ye.
Always so surprised when I eat... Double dessert equals two scoops of ice-cream ;-) Thank you for a lovely afternoon and evening! xx
